  • USDA multi-state project “Integrated Approach to Prevention of Obesity in High Risk Families”
    In this project, we develop fuzzy-set-theory-based methodologies for the measurement of behavioral differences to identify key behaviors in childhood obesity. The identified behaviors will be used by health and nutrition professionals on this project team to develop an integrated strategy for childhood obesity prevention.

    The goal of this project is to identify genes that are associated with diabetes with fuzzy-inference decisionmaking.

  • Breast Cancer Risk Model for Women Receiving Uninformative BRCA1/BRCA2 Mutation Test Results
    Collaborator: Dr. Marc Schwartz, Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Georgetown University
    The goal of this project is to develop a model that estimate the risk of breast and ovarian cancer for women who received uninformative test results for their genetic testing.
